The second National Seed Sector Platform Meeting was hold at Thingha hotel, Naypyitaw on 9 November, 2017 with the support of Inuputs Reform Project-World Bank. The 55 participants from public sector, private sector and development partners were attended the meeting. The preliminary findings and proposals of Myanmar Seed Regulatory Review was presented by U Tin Htut Oo, CEO of Agribusiness and Rural Development Consultants (ARDC). The proposals were intensively discussed during breakout session of the meeting. From that session, 6 major proposals and 6 minor proposals were developed to be submitted to Technical Seed Committee and National Seed Committee. As well as preliminery findings and proposals of Myanmar Seed Regulatory Review, projects on seed sector development, pest risk analysis, plant variety protection and introduction on seed sector platform secretariat were presented.
